About Us
GTC was established in March 1994. We are completely dedicated
to your total satisfaction. If you have any suggestions

Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store,
and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them
into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection,
click on checkout and you will be asked for a few details
that we need in order to be able to satisfy the order. When
you send an order through our web site you will see an on
screen confirmation that includes the order number. You
should print off this screen or take a note of the order
number. This will be followed by an e mail acknowledgement
of your order. It is only when your money is cleared into
our account will a contract be formed and we are under an
obligation to supply you with your order.
If we are unable to deliver the goods ordered by you we
will contact you in order to discuss an alternative item
or delayed delivery.
Shipping and handling will be specified depending on your
order.
The Price and Payment
The price includes VAT where stated at the rate ruling on
the date of the VAT invoice. You will be charged the price
currently shown on our web site at the date we receive your
order, unless there is a delay between us receiving payment
from you. If there is a long delay for payment that is down
to you and not us then we reserve the right to alter the
amount charged to you.
Your orders must be accompanied by full payment of the
price. Payment may be made by most debit and credit cards.
We do not accept payment by any other form for on line orders.
We use a payment provider to take payments from your credit
and debit card. The process isn’t flawless so where
there are mistakes let us know as soon as possible and we
will rectify them.
Overseas customers are responsible for the relevant taxes
and import duties due in their country.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using
our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers
are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using
128-bit encryption.
Description
There may be minor variations between the illustration and
descriptions and the goods supplied. Lawyers call the stuff
on the web an invitation to treat. Heaven knows why but
basically we can’t guarantee that what you see is
exactly what you get but it will definitely be very close.
If you are seriously unhappy with what you get please see
the heading under Guarantee.
Due to our policy of continuous improvement we may well
alter the specification of the stuff on the site from time
to time. We wont necessarily tell you so keep an eye out.
Due to the continual update of our web site there may be
mistakes, which will be notified to you when relevant, and
you will have the option to cancel your order. If there
are mistakes on the web we will do our best to sort them
out.
Delivery of the Goods
We will attempt to dispatch your goods the following working
day after we receive your order. At really busy times there
may be a delay in the dispatch so bear with us. Delivery
of the goods will be made to the address nominated by you.
We use various agents including the good old Post Office
to ensure you receive your order. If you have problems let
us know so that we can make improvements.
Any claims for damage or shortages should be made, in writing,
within 28 days of receipt by you of the goods.
Parcels received in bad condition should be signed for
as "received damaged".
If you don’t receive your parcel about 15 days after
you made your order please let us know (unless dispatch
is specified as longer when it should be 14 days from the
time we said we would send the goods out). Don’t tell
us earlier because the good old Post Office only list a
parcel lost/missing/stolen 14 days after dispatch. So we
can’t deal with it until then.
All claims for lost items must be made within 30 days of
placing our order (unless dispatch is specified as longer).
Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied
with any of our products, advise us of their return and
we will credit the full cost of goods provided you return
the goods to us undamaged, in their original packaging within
28 days of dispatch (Excluding Post and Packing). This does
not affect your statutory rights.
Exchange of Goods
Where goods are bought on behalf of someone else, or as
a present, we will be pleased to exchange such goods within
28 days, provided they are in mint condition and in their
original packaging and the receipt is produced. This does
not affect your statutory rights.
Returns
You have the right to return goods 7days for whatever reason
from the date you receive them. We will assume that this
is 2 days after we post your order to you. You will be responsible
for the cost of returning the goods to us.
Liability
We do not seek to exclude any liability for death or personal
injury caused by the use of this website, its contents or
the actions of our employees. We have to say that due to
legal requirements.
We have already given you a 28 day guarantee so you can
return stuff so that should be enough time to sort things
out. However we will not be liable to you for breach of
contract for any amount other than the price paid by you
to us. We will not be held liable for anything that is unforeseen
or amounts to a claim for economic loss. No liability is
accepted for late delivery, as time is not of the essence
in this contract. The delivery is in the hands of the Post
Office, not us.

This contract is subject to the law of England and Wales.
Use of Website
You can use this site for browsing the goods we have on
offer and purchasing goods online.
The copyright in this web site and the images that you
see on this website are owned by GTC.
You cannot download content(other than permitted by law
for using the site for its intended purpose), make screenshots
or copy the imagery, layout or otherwise interfere with
this site and its contents. If you want to use anything,
you will need our permission before you do so. We want to
ensure that our reputation is protected so we will need
to approve your intended use them before you start.
Linking Policy
If you wish to link to the GTC web site you may do so as
long as you have our permission and as long as you link
directly to the home page at www.generaltradingblackpool.com
You may not deep link into the site.
If we do allow you to link to our web site we do not guarantee
that it will be available 24/7 so don’t be disappointed
if it isn’t there all the time. We may be maintaining
the site for instance.
If you do link to us then, by doing so, you agree to indemnify
us for any action taken against us as a result of the content
of your site. If we find that your site is unacceptable
to us for any reason we will tell you to remove the link.
Unacceptable is to us and not to you. If we don’t
want to be associated with you for any reason then you have
to accept that. If you don’t we have our own legal
eagle and we will put him on to it.
You agree by linking to indemnify us for the use of the
link by you. If you do anything which affects our business,
affects the validity of our intellectual property rights,
impinges upon our reputation, does not comply with the law
wherever you are, then we will ask you to take down the
link. In addition you maywell have to compensate us for
any loss or damage, which has arisen by your misuse of the
